Day Five

Day Five

WOW MAN I AM PUMPED AFTER THIS WORK OUT!!! I don't know about you but I like to get my but kicked hard core and this work out did exactly that. The day five workout was Pure Cardio. It was the meanest work out yet. I was soaked and dripping wet after the warm up. Yes that right dripping wet after the warm up.

I am pretty sore after yesterdays cardio recovery. I guess I am not used to working those muscle groups. I can't imagine what the workouts will be like in 20 days much less the last week. They have to be "Insanity". Hehe he said the title you know like when the title of the movie is in the movie. ADD moment.

So I am still not getting tired of the food. I cant harp on what I am about to talk enough. Eating healthy really makes a difference. I have so much energy from eating right. For the last 2 years I have been drinking the biggest "Redbull" sugar free of course for energy cause I haven't had any energy. EATING RIGHT REALLY HELPS YOUR ENERGY LEVELS AND YOUR GONNA FEEL BETTER!! I am not a nutrition freak or a meat head or anything. Look at my photos and you will see that. So in closing I think you might have got my point about following the nutrition plan.

Day Four

Day Four

Day four was more of a recovery day than anything. The work out was Cardio Recovery. Don't let the term recovery fool you it was hard if you never done yoga. I know I haven't and a lot of the stretches and balance techniques were tough.

I never thought I would be saying that Yoga was hard. If you would have asked me a month ago I would have told you it was for pansies. Even though this was a recovery work out I could not finish strong on this one.

I am still enjoying eating healthy and I have lost 4.3 lbs to date. My body fat% has dropped to 26.7 also. I am already feeling a lot better and I cant say enough about the energy levels.

Day Three

Day Three

Day three's workout was Cardio Power & Resistance. Its hard getting motivated when you know you are about to get you butt handed to by Shaun T on top of already being sore as crap. I have been taking the Results and Recovery formula and I think it is just now starting to work because I can feel my joints and muscles not aching as bad as it has been.

Lots of push ups inclined push ups yoga and running in place up down for you that played football or sports for that matter. Oh yeah the dreaded suicides. I think this work out is living up to its name Insanity.

To date I have lost 3 lbs. Going at this rate in 60 days I will be 60 lbs lighter. I doubt though cause I know the weight loss will have to Plateau at some point. I must say that eating healthy has definitely given me a lot of energy. No more midday drag if you know what I mean.

Day Two

Day Two

Day two workout was Plyometric Cardio Circuit and I must say it was a beast of a workout. I was in the military for six years and never had a workout this hard. If this is a sign of whats to come its going to be bad.

I thought the fit test warm up was hard but this warm up was more of a workout than a warm up. I was dripping wet with sweat my muscles were like hot a gooey. I guess it works cause after the warm up stretching was a lot easier.

Once again the meals are wonderful and full of flavor not what I was expecting since we are on a strict diet. After day two I have already lost 2 lbs. My wife has stayed the same. I actually made it all the way through this work out but not with out taking some much needed breaks. Sore muscles Sore muscles

Day One

Day One

Day one was a fitness test. If you have read any of the message boards you will find that a lot people said they thought the warm up was the work out. The warm up is intense but the test was far harder than the warm up.

After calculating our dietary needs and making out the menu based on our caloric intake we started making our food . I must say I haven't always eaten that healthy but the food is good that we are preparing for ourselves. It's not blah by no means.

My staring weight was 216.2 with 28.5 % body fat. My wife's starting weight was 140.4 with 29% body fat. So hopefully we will be giving good updates with this in the coming weeks.

Day Zero

My wife and I went to the market today to shop for all the ingredients we would need for week one of the Insanity workout. When we got home we went ahead and prepared two days worth of breakfast, lunch, and snacks to cut down on prep time. It took 30 minutes to prep two days of food and we spent $100.00 for the food and protein shakes this week.

I will be keeping a daily blog of workout, meals, and photos. I plan on posting photos of us each day and maybe a video of the workout once a week. Stay tuned and hopefully you will get to see us change physically as well as our lifestyle which at the moment is sedentary.
